India is out of the race of finals but still got the chance to compete for the bronze in the playoffs.

After Kamalpreet Kaur lost her final round of discus throw yesterday, all eyes were on Indian Men’s hockey team. India was against Belgium in their semifinal match of the event and have faced a defeat by 2-5.

India is out of the race of finals but still got the chance to compete for the bronze in the playoffs.

But, hopes are alive as the Indian women’s hockey team is yet to play their semi-final match and would be looking for their maiden medal in the Olympics.
After the era of Major, Dhyanchand India has consistently struggled hard to get recognition among the top playing nations.

Meanwhile, poor display of Indian athletes is visible as the country’s wrestling campaign began on a losing note as Sonam Malik lost her 62kg freestyle pre-quarterfinal.

India’s wrestling star Bajrang Punia is yet to start his campaign at the event but has to watch out for his Irani competitors.

Also, along with Bajrang Punia India’s poster boy for this Olympics Neeraj Chopra is too waiting eagerly to be there on the field for India.
