APN News Editor-In-Chief Rajshri Rai awarded honour for outstanding work

APN News Editor-In-Chief Rajshri Rai was honoured for her outstanding work in the media by the Vishwa Mangalya Sabha in New Delhi on Saturday.

The Vishwa Mangalya Sabha honours women for their extraordinary work so as to encourage other women to strive for excellence in the field of social development. .

The idea for this award event is based on Sanskrit shloka Yatra Naryastu Pujyante. The meaning of this shloka is where women are worshipped, gods reside there. On the other hand, where women are neither worshipped nor respected, all the good deeds done becomes fruitless and goes waste.

The chief guest was India wrestler Babita Phogat, who won the gold medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Among dignitaries present at the event were Vishwa Mangalya Sabha national president Rekhadevi Khandelwal, South Delhi Mayor Kamaljit Sehrawat and Veermata Tripta Thapar.
