Army Day 2020: Chiefs of Armed Forces pay tribute at National War Memorial

The 72nd Army Day was celebrated in India today.

Chief of defence staff (CDS) Gen Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Gen MM Naravane, Air Staff Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria and Navy Chief Admiral Karambir Singh today paid tribute at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

Army Day is celebrated every year in india on Jan 15. It commemorates Field Marshal KM Cariappa’s taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher on January 15, 1949.
