Deepika Padukone on Monday has reportedly begun shooting for the upcoming film Pathan in Mumbai’s YRF Studios co-starring Shah Rukh Khan. Deepika Padukone was earlier spotted in the balcony of an apartment alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi where the entire cast was shooting.
Earlier today, a source revealed that Deepika is all set to start shooting for her next film, Pathan, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. The shoot begins today at YRF Studios. The makers haven’t officially announced anything about the film, but work is in full swing.
Helmed by War director Sidharth Anand, Pathan will mark Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s fourth collaboration after Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year. Reports also suggest that John Abraham will join the cast as an antagonist.
Deepika will be returning to Yash Raj Films after 2008 rom-com Bachna Ae Haseeno with action film Pathan. The film will mark Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback to the production house four years after Maneesh Sharma’s Fan. Pathan is also Shah Rukh’s comeback to movies two years after Anand L Rai’s Zero.
Meanwhile, Deepika’s lined up projects include Kabir Khan directorial 83, alongside husband and actor Ranveer Singh, Shakun Batra’s next, and The Intern.
Shah Rukh Khan is all set to produce a rom-com for Kartik Aaryan.
