Delhi HC issues notice in plea seeking CBI probe in misappropriation Rs 3200 cr Workers’ Fund.

The Delhi High Court on Monday issued notices in plea seeking CBI probe into alleged misappropriation of Rs 3200 cr Workers’ Fund. The Fund is meant for construction and migrant workers under the Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Cess Act, 1996.

While hearing the plea, the bench comprising Justice Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Rajnish Bhatnagar sought response of Centre, Delhi Government and Delhi Construction Workers Welfare Board, CAG and Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB). The petition has been filed by Vinod Kumar Shukla, President of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Sanstha.
