Kamal Haasan shares teaser of his next film Vikram

On 66th birthday, megastar Kamal Haasan shared the teaser of his much-awaited film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The political thriller is titled Vikram.

Haasan took to twitter and released the title teaser of the film, saying that he is happy to launch the teaser on his birthday.On the other hand, Kanagaraj also shared the teaser and described it as a birthday gift to Haasan.

Around two minutes long teaser opens with Haasan preparing a feast for guests in the kitchen. Haasan in a mysterious character is seen hiding ammunition in shelves. As guests wearing masks arrive and start to savour the meal, Haasan takes out the hidden weapon and points at the guests. The teaser abruptly ends with a note saying once upon a time there lived a ghost named Vikram.

The title ‘Vikram’ is taken from Haasan’s 1986 action drama of the same name. This movie is considered to be a spin-off, which features the RAW agent who stopped a missile attack 25 years ago.

The film will be shot in and around Chennai, and is slated to go on floors by the end of this month.

It is being said that Bigg Boss fame Tharshan will play a pivotal role in this film.The remaining cast of the film is yet to be announced.

Vikram marks fifth directorial debut of Kanagaraj. Previously he has helmed movies like Kaithi and Master. Produced under Haasan’s banner Raaj Kamal Films International, the film is slated to release in summer 2021.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Haasan was last seen in Vishwaroopam II. He will next be seen in Indian 2, which is a sequel to the 1996 movie of the same name. Directed by S. Shankar and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Nedumudi Venu and Rakul Preet Singh.
