The Member of Parliament from Mirzapur constituency Anupriya Patel has demanded action against the recently launched Amazon web series Mirzapur 2. The Apna Dal parliamentarian has called out the makers of the series of portraying the city of Uttar Pradesh as a violent region.
Patel alleged that the series maligned the image of the city of Mirzapur, which is the centre of harmony under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The show is also spreading ethnic disharmony, she said.
The issue must be looked into and an action must be taken against the same, wrote Patel tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Minister Prakash Javadekar in her Twitter posts.
