Vivaan Shah, son of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus. Shah had been unwell since last week, post which he had undergone Covid-19 test. As per reports, the actor is in home-quarantine and taking rest as of now.
Shah was recently seen in Mira Nair’s web-series titled The Suitable Boy co-starring Ishaan Khatter, Tabu, Ram Kapoor, Vijay Raaz among others. The six-part web series is based on Vikram Seth’s novel with the same name, in which Shah plays the pivotal role of the protagonist’s younger brother Varun.
The actor ventured into Bollywood with Vishal Bhardwaj’s movie ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ alongside a stellar star cast including Priyanka Chopra, late Irrfan Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, John Abraham among others. Later he became part of industry’s big projects like in Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Happy New Year’ and Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Bombay Velvet’. He also appeared in the film titled Laali Ki Shaadi Mein Laddoo Deewana and web-series ‘Only For Singles’.
The actor will next be seen in the upcoming film ‘Kabaad : The Coin’ in the role of a ragpicker. Talking about it, the actor had said that it is a fascinating process to play Kabadiwala on screen as it required some study and observation to replicate authentically the nuances of a ragman.
Meanwhile, just a day before YouTube sensation Bhuvam Bam tested positive for novel coronavirus. Several other celebrities including Amitabh Bachhan, his son Abhishek and daughter in law Aishwarya Bachhan, Arjun Kapoor had contracted the virus and have now recovered.
India’s total cases has increased to 82,67,623 with 38,310 new Covid-19 cases.The death toll reached 1,23,097 with 490 new fatalities.The total active cases are now 5,41,405 and the cured cases are 76,03,121.
