Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha on Friday described Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu as Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics. Hitting back at one of Sidhu’s tweet in which he had targeted Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government over Centre’s three farm laws saying if party’s masquerading is still on. Sidhu said the AAP government had implemented one of the three farm laws in Delhi and then did a drama of tearing the copy of the law in the assembly.
However, giving a beffiting reply to Sidhu over his remarks, Chadha said the Congress reprimanded the Punjab Congress Chief for his constant rhetoric against CM Amarinder Singh, that’s why today they are after Arvind Kejriwal for change.
The tweet read: The Rakhi Sawant of Punjab politics -Navjot Singh Sidhu- has received a scolding from Congress high command for non stop rant against Capt. Therefore today, for a change, he went after Arvind Kejriwal. Wait till tomorrow for he shall resume his diatribe against Capt with vehemence.
The former cricketer has surrounded the Arvind Kejriwal government on the farmers laws, saying that at the time when the farmers were agitating on the borders of Delhi, the Kejriwal government issued a notification to implement one of the 3 agricultural laws of the Center.
Sidhu’s attack on Kejriwal comes a day after he accused Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal, his party and his family of laying the groundwork for the farm laws.
In December last year Kejriwal and his government drew heavy criticism after notifying one of the centre’s three laws and saying that the other two were under examination.
The AAP said the notification allowed farmers to sell crops at markets of their choice, it argued. However, soon the political rivals slammed AAP government for its double standards as Kejriwal had openly supported the farmers in their protests.
