Varun Dhawan, Neetu Kapoor test Covid-19 positive during Jug Jugg Jeeyo shoot

Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Neetu Kapoor have reportedly tested positive for novel coronavirus. The actors were shooting for the upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo, along with director Raj Mehta, Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani. While Raj also tested positive, Anil and Kiara are tested negative, suggests the report.

According to reports, the shooting of the film which commenced last month has been put on hold until the leading cast along with the director recover from the infectious disease. 

The film cast recently boarded a flight to Chandigarh from the private airport in Mumbai for shooting. The picture of which was shared by Neetu Kapoor on Instagram. She captioned the image as the first flight in these scary times, nervousness for this journey. Missing her late husband, she thanked him for encouraging her to do this.

Produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film features Varun and Kiara as husband and wife. While veteran actor Anil and Neetu essays Varun’s parents in the movie. Youtuber Prajakta Koli also set to make her debut on the big screen with this film. It also stars Maniesh Paul, who had recently joined the team for shooting in Chandigarh.

Last month, Varun also shared his first look from Jug Jugg Jeeyo on Instagram. Happy wife, happy life, he captioned the photo featuring himself with Kiara Advani. This would be the first time that the actors will collaborate for a movie together. The film is slated for 2021 release.

Earlier, legendary Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor were among the several celebrities who have tested positive for the coronavirus and were admitted to the hospital. Hopefully, all of them have recovered from the infectious disease and have resumed their work.
